Cancellation Policy

Effective from September 1, 2019, the cancellation policy applies to all vacations curated by The Ramayana Trail. Customers eligible for refunds will receive their refund within 90 working days from the date of cancellation or upon processing by the supplier(s), whichever is later. Flights

  • Flights marked as “Non-Refundable” on the final travel vouchers are not eligible for any refund.
  • For flights marked as “Refundable,” customers will receive a refund according to the details specified in the Cancellation Policy section of the product and the final itinerary emailed to them.
  • Refunds for flights may fluctuate based on international exchange rates.
  • The Ramayana Trail is not responsible for grounded, cancelled, or delayed flights. Customers must contact the respective airlines for cancellations, and refunds are subject to the airline’s processing.
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring their passport has at least 1-year validity. The Ramayana Trail will not refund customers unable to board due to passport issues (expired or damaged passports).
  • Customers must arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to boarding time. The Ramayana Trail is not liable for missed flights due to delayed arrival when airport transfers are not arranged by us.
  • If The Ramayana Trail arranges airport transfers and flights are cancelled due to unforeseen local circumstances, we do not bear responsibility.

Baggage

  • Details regarding baggage limits (cabin and check-in) will be provided in the final travel vouchers. Any additional costs due to exceeding baggage limits must be paid by the customer at check-in.

Hotels

  • Hotels marked as “Non-Refundable” on the final travel vouchers are not eligible for refunds upon cancellation.
  • For hotels marked as “Refundable,” refunds and timelines are governed by the Cancellation Policy section of the product and the final itinerary emailed to the customer.
  • Refunds for hotels may vary due to international exchange rates.
  • The Ramayana Trail aims to provide quality hotels but is not responsible for factors such as staff behavior, cleanliness, or accommodation quality. Additional costs for on-trip upgrades and amenities are borne by the customer.
  • Changing hotels during the trip incurs a 100% cancellation fee for the original booking.

Activities

  • Activities marked as “Non-Refundable” on the final travel vouchers are not eligible for refunds upon cancellation.
  • For “Refundable” activities, refunds and timelines follow the Cancellation Policy and final itinerary details.
  • Refunds for activities may fluctuate based on international exchange rates.

Transfers

  • Refunds for all transfers adhere to the Cancellation Policy and details provided in the final itinerary.
  • Refunds for transfers may vary based on international exchange rates.

Visa & Insurance

  • The Ramayana Trail assists with Visa applications but does not guarantee approval, as the decision lies solely with the embassy. Visa fees are non-refundable in case of rejection.
  • While The Ramayana Trail facilitates a seamless Visa process, we are not liable for changes in Visa formalities by the embassy.
  • Insurance applications are subject to a 100% cancellation fee and are non-refundable once processed.
